PROCAREFUL project – PRO.active CARE F.or U.sers L.ife is supported by the Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE Programme with co-financing from the European Regional Development Fund. The project is led by I.S.R.A.A. (Italy) in partnership with 8 Partners from Croatia, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Slovenia, and 3 Associated Partners from Italy and Slovenia. Project duration is 3 years.
PROCAREFUL project aims to develop an innovative model for hybrid home care services to support independent living of older and vulnerable people in need of care, taking advantage of digitalization.
Older and vulnerable people wish to be taken care of in their homes. But technical solutions to support independent living are often missing, especially in rural region. The project wants to overcome the challenge of the existing urban and rural gap in home care accessibility and timely delivery by upscaling the existing health and social care services and by moving them from a reactive towards proactive approach.
To achieve this, the partners work on a solution that combines face-to-face care with remote and digital support based on machine learning and artificial intelligence. The deployment of the model is tested in five regions.
Within the project IFKA is responsible to set up a PROCAREFUL’s Pilot experiences document, organize numerous webinars, participate in the development of PROCAREFUL business model for SMEs, and create Innovation framework to support innovation of Home Long Term Care ecosystem.
