REBORN is a 48-month initiative supported under the INTERREG EUROPE Programme.
The project aims to increase the capacity of SMEs to engage in growth in regional, national and international markets through innovation through improving policy instruments within the Operational Programmes of 6 EU Member States such as Italy, Spain, Belgium, Hungary, Greece, Poland.
The project delivers cutting-edge measures and tools related to entrepreneurship, business innovation and business internationalization to avoid the "lost of entrepreneurship potential" and overcome the "stigmatization" of entrepreneurs resulting from bankruptcy such as
Solution to finance in second opportunities;
Positive image of the restarters,
Capacity building for entrepreneurs as the main topics in the second chance policies.
By the end of the project, REBORN partners will provide 13,500,000 EUR from Growth and Jobs or ETC funding implementing new initiatives to support the effectiveness of the policy instruments addressed. Based on these result indicators REBORN will address the policy instrument “Dissemination of competitive entrepreneurial knowledge” under EDIOP Economic Development and Innovation Operational Programme. IFKA Public Benefit Non Profit Ltd. for the Development of the Industry will work towards enabling approx. 100 SMEs receiving better access to mentoring network(s) for enterprises with operating less than 3 years on the market and experiencing difficulties in getting access to finance, entrepreneurial skills and supporting. Improved coordination of already existing but isolated mentor programmes as well as performance assessment will be established to increase the entrepreneurial survival and quality of incubation services as well.
